Auld Vertuus School was established as an independent sub-school of the Gelug Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism by faithful disciples of Ven. Khenpo Kyosang Rinpoche on March 3, 2017.
The school relies on the teachings of Kyosang Rinpoche (condensed in the Eight Moral Gudielines), on Lamrim Chenmo by Je Tsongkhapa, and on other authentic teachers of the Gelug tradition and their scriptures.
The name of the school refers to the ‘virtuous school,’ or the Gelug tradition.
Auld Vertuus School does not oppose itself to other Buddhist teachers of the Gelug tradition (it neither opposes itself to the Gelug tradition as a whole) and sees them as true and trustful teachers as long as their teachings and activities are in accordance with the teachings of Je Tsongkhapa and the Eight Moral Guidelines.
Mr Ludwig Roemer holds the position of the locum lineage holder.
The Council of teachers is the supreme spiritual body of Auld Vertuus School .
Any Buddhist center, community, group, monastery, or Buddhist teacher may from now on join Auld Vertuus School and proclaim its following this tradition.
Any Buddhist Center, community, group, or monastery, that declares its joining Auld Vertuus School , may recognize any faithful Buddhist as a Buddhist teacher in the event the person has qualities of a true Buddhist teacher, which are laid in Lamrim Chenmo by Je Tsongkhapa.
